GABRIELLE GRIFFIN is a proudly independent performing artist since 1994, Gabrielle/GG (she/they) has specialised in the fields of puppetry, Impro, Clown, and disability dance.
With a long & varied career, from cobbled streets to theatres, community events and major festivals like WOMAD, she is an MC, producer, teacher and stilt walker. A golden shaft of light beamed down upon her at age 56, and she took up drumming, which is the perfect blend of all her performing and life skills!
She has created several solo puppetry shows, is a Drag King called Pierre Cardigan, and runs the over-50s women's music project Band Me Up Lismore and is a Co-Producer of She-Rated Cabaret.
GG lives in the rainforest, is the Feral Animal officer for her local Landcare group, and wishes for world peace on every shooting star.
SIMONE O’BRIEN is a producer, director, teacher, and performance maker specialising in circus and physical theatre. She was Spaghetti Circus Creative Director from 2014 to 2017. In 2018, Simone co-founded SeedArts Australia in the Northern Rivers. Current work includes ‘River Crossing’ a large-scale tightwire project to celebrate Aboriginal tightwire legend, Con Colleano - ‘the Wizard of the Wire’ - born in Lismore (1899 – 1973).
Simone has worked with the Gold Coast Commonwealth Games, Arts Northern Rivers (If These Halls Could Talk), Ghurrumbil Dreaming Indigenous Corporation and Beyond Empathy (Defiant), Roundabout Theatre, Mullum Music Festival, Bibi Bulak in East Timor (Asialink Residency), Circus Oz, Woodford Folk Festival, Mullumbimy Circus Festival, the National Centre for Indigenous Excellence, Redfern Community Centre, Art Gallery of NSW and the National Institute of Circus Arts and NIDA.
She is Co-Producer of Lismore’s sell-out show She-Rated Cabaret 2018 & 2019, a member of the Mullum Ukele Orchestra, and of course, the proud bass-slapper of Mutton!
